The METMAR-MERMEX project has been accepted by the PHC Tassili program

The Partnership Hubert Curien (PHC) Tassili supports the Franco-Algerian scientific cooperation. The PHC Tassili aims particularly at training young researchers. It is directly supported and funded by:

  • France through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development (MAEDI) and the Ministry for National Education, Higher Education and Research (MENESR)
  • And Algeria, through the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MESRS).

The PHC Maghreb, common in France, Algeria, Morocco and Tunisia has given since two years a regional dimension by gathering the searcher teams from the four countries. A first project has started on 2011; the four others on 2012.

The Metmar-MERMEX project (Contributions, accumulation and contamination by METal traces of coastal areas of Algiers and MARseilles), submitted by Olivier Radakovitch and Mostefa Boulahdid, has just been accepted by the PHC Tassili program. Its implementation for 2017 can begin with a joint thesis.
